Yay....it's done! For awhile anyway.

I think I may have over done it with the icons, but they're all meaningful to me. And I'll never be able to get back those hours I wasted trying to learn how to create html, how to embed songs on a blog, and searching for music that was online already. The song I ended up with is one of my favorites, from the video game Kingdom Hearts. Too bad the sound quality is shoddy...it's a beautiful song. If you want to turn it off, the player is down at the bottom of my blog.

I'm having fun with my census job, but it gets boring after about an hour at a time. I could do it in my sleep and I have been, in my nightmares anyway. : ) I never realized before how many Alaskans have dogs, but since I have been traipsing across people's property lately I've noticed. It's kind of hard not to when all you can see is sharp teeth coming at you as soon as you exit the car. Even the little dogs try to maul me. And there was even a "guard horse" that someone let wander free on their property that stalked me, let me pet him for five minutes, then proceeded to bite at me.

I got the message today that two census workers died in car accidents recently along with the reminder that I should wear my seatbelt at all times. I can see why they might have left the belt off considering that we have to get in and out of the car every two minutes, but it could have happened to anyone. I hope that they are safe and happy in Heaven now.

The Begining...

I finally caved and decided to start blogging. I think blogging is a bit weird though. It's like writing in a diary and then giving millions instant access to your thoughts and feelings. Oh well, it's a great way to stay connected to family members and friends. XD
